TOMATINA

Guess what?
Yesterday Joe, Barce, (who managed to get the van from his uncle), Lorenzo (Uruguayan friend of Barce) and I went to the TOMATINA FESTIVAL!!! in Buñol...
Yes that festival where theres a War throwing tomatoes @ each other!!! It was AMAZING!!!! I think I havent totally recovered yet! There where around 200 Tones of Tomatoes in 5 Huge Trucks thrown, around 50.000 people (Including a lot of Japenese, Americans and Brits). I saw people with hematomas on their faces, t-shirts flying, flip-flops flying, even bra's flying, and obviously everybody completely covered by tomato soup... it was amazing, maybe once in a life-time festival, cause after the War (which "only" lasts 1 hour), the tomato starts to dry and it is kinda annoying, anyway we had a really awesome time there!!!
Unfortunatelly or luckily as you wish, I didnt take my camera with me, Lorenzo did so I hope he can send the pics soon, meanwhile I will post some pics Ive seen on the Net, so that u guys can have an idea of how impressive this day (the last wednesday of August) is in the small town of Buñol.

Last Weekend of Summer!!!

Hi There!
I just returned yesterday from an extraordinary weekend at Jose's Appartment in Javea (1 Hour drive south from my place). I did so many things... I went sailing with the team of my University the Universidad Politecnica de Valencia, I went snorkeling, at the rocky beach seeing amazing fish and obviously I went partying and drunk soooo many cocktails, as we met our friend from High School: Joshua who has 3 pubs in Javea, so we did the so called: "Chiringuito Tour" that was fun, and he invited us to all the drinks!!! (1st pic Im enjoying with Jose, the first Mojito, then came the Piña Colada, Strawberry Daikiri, Rum & Coke...). 2nd is the view from Jose's App. of the Mediterranean Sea, 3rd is me doing a picture to myself, when I woke up one morning, before Jose and Sergio did. And finally its me at the boat, doing as if I where sailing (obviously we where still inside the port so I wasnt doing much deal hehe!). This week I should start concentrating on my last exam before I leave to Paris, so party is more or less over... You betcha! Posted by Picasa

Wednesday 23rd of August :-$

Yesterday both my brothers & I went with my dad to a Restaurant: "La Vaca Argentina"... that should have been fun, and actually it was, however we didn't know what the consequences we where going to have the next day where...
The 3 of the brothers got food poisoning!!! oh yes...
My stomach does not remember what solid food is ever since. My diet is solely based on yoghurt. Anyway, it was good cause I had rented the day before: Lord of the Rings parts 2 and 3 which I hadn't seen yet, and I have finally managed to see them both (including the making off!!!) today, I went to return them (and buy some more yoghurt) and have rented another movie. U can tell Im starting to get bored with all this stuff.
I think Im gonna start posting pictures from my year in the States (Oh My God Time Flies!!! its already 2 years since I reached Springfield!!!)
Enjoy.

ValenciaCF Again in CHAMPIONS LEAGUE!!!

Just a short post to say that Valencia CF has just won Red-Bull Salzburg 3-0 (Morientes, Villa in the picture and Silva) after having lost against the Austrians 1-0 on the first leg of the qualifying matches ... that means: THAT THE BAT IS BACK!!! Beware...

Just 2 More weeks of Vacation!!! :-D

LO Guyz & Gals!

Here I am back from a totally unhealthy week... Too much eating, too much partying, too less sleeping, too less working out. I bet I gained 2K for sure. The story goes like this:
Last weekend, I had bbq dinner at a friends house, called Stanley, he is British and currently studies in St. Andrews (yeah with the Future King William of the UK) and he was, well his parents where, throwing a party cause he is going to Berkeley next year, therefore, my mum, brothers and I went to enjoy his goodbye-party, that was fun, however I didnt stay there too long as I wanted to wake up a little earlier the next day, cause some friends from Galicia, (Blanca, Angela, Johnny and Xisela), where coming to visit Valencia, on their Road-Trip from their place (North West Spain) throughout the entire Nation. (BTW that must be a fun trip I should do it one day...). Anyway they came here for 3 days, so I tried to host them the best as I know and tried to make them feel as at home, I hope they enjoyed their stay (at least thats what they sincerely told me) ;-) O before I forget, I need the pictures sent from the touristic tours we did to upload them !!!
Next they it was me together with Rafa driving and Jaime, who where hitting the road, on our way to Mojacar in Almeria, south-east Spain, and where the only Desert of Europe is found (Many Western movies including most of Clint Eastwood movies, where filmed there, sorry if I broke your dreams, as it happened last year when driving through Arizona, I told Catherine that the Holywood movies where shot in Spain cause it was cheaper labour hehe.)
Anyway we where heading Alberto's nice appartment, in a 4.5H drive and at his place, I had the rest of my friends: Sergio, Gonza, Juanito (with his amazing Audi A3 Sport Edition where I sat on the way back) and Barce.
It was an awesome trip, and the place in the Community of Andalucia, had amazing beaches, extremely cheap Sea-Food and obviously nice places to party. (Just for the record, first thing I did when I arrived at around 7pm was to drink 2 really cold and tasteful Mojitos 8-D).
We arrived friday, and I slept 11 hours in a row, just so that u get an idea of how destroyed physically we all where!!!
Once again Im still negotiating to get the pictures sent to post them asap.
Finally yesterday we had dinner at a fancy restaurant in La Cañada: "El Jardín de Quique", where we had a Surprise Birthday for Gema's 50th anniversary, Gema is one of the closest friends of my mum, and her husband had made everything possible inviting 50 fiends and family to the dinner, and closing the restaurant for the Surprise...
However the surprise-party nearly ended in tragedy, as the brother in law of Gema, had an hypoglycemia, due to the excitement of the moment... Luckily both Gema and her husband Enrique and 6 other of their friends are physicians including several cardiologists, so they knew what to do until the ambulance came. To make a long story short, he was sent to the hospital and is now much better, dont worry!!!
I do have some pictures taken with my OWN camera (that way I can surely post them when I feel like it).
And today I went to have lunch to Torrente, around 30Km from La Cañada with our younger brother Ivan, who is currently attending a Summer School there, and we had really nice tapas... however I do feel I need to go jogging this evening hehe.
Hope I didnt bore u with this update, next time Ill try to split in several days.
Besos!

Enjoying Veranito!!!

Watsup!!!
I havent been able, over the past few days, of updating my blog or uploading any pix, Im really sorry, but the reason is that Ive been going to friend's houses in different towns next to the coast. Last weekend I went with Sergio to a town next to Oliva (South of Valencia), where I had a big party at Pepeto's place, together with other 35 friends who also study Business Management. It was sort of a goodbye party, after the 5 years studying together. Im waiting for the pictures to be sent, and will post them asap. We made bbq on saturday night (by that time there where already some friends half-drunk) and the next day we had a nice Paella. I came back home and stood in La Cañada until tueday, where I left to Cullera a very touristic village around an hour drive from my place, to enjoy the beach in the appartment of an old classmate called Joaquin. His family are all adorable, and his mom is certainly one of the best cooks Ive ever come to meet. We had the chance to arrange a lunch with our friends Ivan, Jaime, Lionel and of course Joaquin and me... the 5 of us had been going to the same class since we where 3 until 18!!! and obviously University made all of us follow a different path... However at last, after 5 years without hardly knowing something about most of them, we finally held a meeting, and could enjoy with the anecdotes that will always remain in our minds. I hope Joaquin sends me the pics soon!!! I left his place yesterday, as I had a dinner sort of a goodbye dinner with my friend Javi Monra, who is going to North Carolina next year to finish his studies, so we went to Pizza Roma, a really nice restaurant, where u will surely never finish your plate, as the quantity of food is somewhere like in the States (somebody remember Lambert's in Springfield ;-)
I hope I dont take this long to update again my blog, so sorry again for all of those who have been checking the blog every now and then and have seen no new news.
Besosss!!
