24

Thankyou so much for all the Calls, E-mails, Text-Messages, Videos, surprises and Visits!!! I really enjoyed one of the best Birthdays I can remember!!! Merci Beaucoup!!!
Yes last thursday I turned 24 uppsss getting close to the quarter...
So the previous day, my friends from Valencia Ana & Marita, made me a kinda surprise Congratulation (well it was 5pm, not the moment for a party), but they bought a Really Really nice cake and we enjoyed the moment together, oh and gave me a T-shirt as a gift! (where also Rita and Lucia, from Spain too, did also contribute).

That same evening I went to La Cité (place in Paris with lots of Residences from each country) to in theory enjoy a movie... although I didnt know that the movie was aimed at me!!! My Erasmus friends had filmed me a very funny video: I nearly cried (well u know I cant cry but u get the idea of how touched I was...), they had also bought dinner and Polish-Vodka so we enjoyed a nice evening...then that night we went to an Italian girls apartment who also had her birthday, so that when it turned midnight they could sing both of us Happy Birthday... I had a nice night!!
Following day the 22nd I bought some drinks and food and organized a Party at my place. I also did "Agua de Valencia" the already famous Orange-Juice and Champagne Cocktail... the 5 litres where drank in around 15minutes (among 20 persons)... afterwards we went to Mix-Club one of the Best Clubs in the city of Paris, and finally left at around: 5:30am!! (Spanish time-table I
wasnt used to it hehe!).
Friday my friend Miguel from Madrid came to visit me for the weekend, and that night we had the Good-bye party of my very good friend from Germany: Elias who just decided to go back home to finish his studies a couple of weeks ago. He just didnt know that we where gonna go and sing him the following day just before his actual departure, I think he was also moved by the surprise.

Sunday Miguel & I met with another of the friends we met at the States: Catherine, so we did some tourism around Paris (Eiffel Tower, Embassies from various nationalities, Arc de Triomph, Champs Elysees, Hotel de Ville, Notre Dame...) And ended up having dinner at a fancy restaurant in the Latin Quarter, close to the River Seine. He just left yesterday afternoon back to Spain.
I can just Thank everybody for all nice and unforgettable moments I passed with you guys!!!
MERCI BEAUCOUP!!! You will always be on my mind.

PS: 1) Before my Party... 2) My 2 Valencian friends Ana & Marita, with their bf, Juanjo and Javi and the brother of Javi.
3) Left to right: Mari Carmen from Barcelona, Irene from Italy, and David from Valencia too.
4) Before we began signing the goodbye songs to Elias at his front door.
5) Miguel enjoying a Crepe with Virtually Everything!!! (Eggs, Cheese, ham, chicken, potatoes, mushrooms, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, salt & pepper) Just 6€ I love Paris ;-D !!!
Finally: Beautiful Sunset: Catherine and I in front of Eiffel Tower.

Normandie

Rafa & Bea

Last weekend, my Very Good friend Rafa and his gf Bea, came to Paris to my place, as a San-Valentines gift to her. In addition I had already planned to visit Normandy to celebrate the birthday of Aloma (idea of his bf Simon, who organized everything: the rural-house, the renting of the 2 cars... without she knowing anything). As I haven't yet discovered how to split myself in half, I had to "partager" and stood only 1 night in Normandy with my Erasmus friends, and 1 night having dinner with Rafa and Bea, (by the way he treated us to mussels in front of the River Seine!).
Rest of the week, well classes some good some I dropped, and party a looooooot of partying going on in Paris this semester... ill keep u folks updated.
Take care, bisous,
Angel

PS: This is the place where we stayed at, near Fecamp in Normandy: really really cool! http://www.abritel.fr/fr/detailphotoshd.php?wetyp=&wthem=&wcoeur=&wrefa=592537&rv=&panier=&prov=&d=0&ville=&moteur=&wrech=&tril=nbp&wdeptville=&categorie=&coordx=&coordy=

First February Post!

Hey Guys how'r u doing?

It's been a while since I last updated my blog (as always) but with the difference that these last weeks I wasn't procrastinating as usual. I had 5 exams (6 including french but I studied nothing for the later) during the months of january and the beginning of feb. I finished Feb 1st, and I don't really know how well (or bad) I did exactly, however, right now its not something I feel bothered about. Nonetheless, I know I did all my best, so little I can worry or do right now. Anyway just as I finished the last exam, I had my plane already booked, destination: Krakow in Poland. What a funny weekend I spent with my friends Pepeto, Hector & Miguel from my class in the Polytechnic University of Valencia.
To be honest, I drunk a lot during the 4 nights I spent there, and only 1 day was fully touristic, the rest where party and more party (we even started drinking one day at 6pm and finished at 5am at a McDo and still one of my friends still wanted to continue the Fiesta...) Considering that in certain bars, the pint is just 0.70€ as opposed to the 5.50€ with happy hour in Paris... well it doesnt take an accountant to realize that with less u can get more (I mean less money more hungover!), I even treated all of my friend's friends' to Beer, as they where just 13 at the bar (so I did my mental-calculation: 0.70 times 10 persons: 7€ so with 2 more Euros I can get 13 persons, which means 9 euros in total, well I guess it is still less than treating somebody to a beer back in Paris hehe)
I stayed 3 nights in Krakow and 1 in Rzeszow (hope I spelt it right) where my friends are currently undergoing their Erasmus programme (notice how I didnt write they where studying there, hehe!)
Anyway it was an excellent way of disconnecting from the study routine, and to get to know this marvellous country: Poland. I came back to Paris on monday, then went to a couple of classes just to see which ones I liked most, and chose several of them, the following thursday. That same afternoon, my friend Rafa and his gf, where coming to Paris so I left them my flat so that they could safe those days of hotel rooms.
That night I went to my Italian friends' house (Fernando, 2 Elenas and Marco) and the following day, friday, Simon ( the Dutch guy) had organized a surprise party to his gf: Aloma (from Barcelona), so we rented 2 cars, and head to Normandie at a magnificient Rural-House in the Campagne, just 5 km off the Beach. We had a nice dinner (Blanca from Zaragoza cooked with the aid of the rest) and at night we had some Polish Vodka that both Jan (from Poland) and I had brought. He even played the guitar during the night which was really cool, (and I remembered the Fallas when I lightened the fire!) jeje.
Saturday, I had to come back to get my keys from my friend Rafa, but the rest stayed in Normandie, so I got a train by myself but it was really cool, a 2.30h route, looking at the landscape. That night, my friend Rafeta, treated both his gf and me, to Moules et Frites (that is Mussels with French Fries) and today they left, so I did some vacuum-cleaning, laundry, dishes, and organized the following week as classes start now for Real.

PS: Pictures: 1st dusk in Krakow, with Wisla River, next: Cathedral in Wawel, Main Plaza: Rynek Glowny, Oldest Church in Poland, and Entrance to Wawel "Kontrola"!
