Lundi 23 Octobre

Its Christmas in Paris!!!
Yessss.
Friday afternoon, after a very tyring week I decide it is the right momento to cut my hair, as I doubt Ill find an empty space in my schedule on the near future. So I approach this hairdresser's just beside my place. I open the door (already with Christmas Bells hanging and making noice) and ask for a hair-cut... we could say I got my first Christmas-Gift...
I guess I didnt explain myself correctly in french, or the woman cutting it was mad at me (as I was the only male and under-50 customer), anyway she cut my hair far far more than I expected, cause she started off by using the "razor-machine" as opposed to the scissors and maybe that wasnt her best choice, (maybe she had never ever used it before but wanted to pay off the investment...) to be honest at night I feel cold and I miss opening my eyes and seeing my hair. After that 21euros, and a card with discount on the 8th cut... hell yeah!!! my face was a poem, my entire head is a poem, the only thing I told her was: "a la prochaine..." (su madre!).
Oh and that evening whilst I went to the supermarket, I saw some chocolates with the figure of Santa, I guess in this town theyve never heard about Halloween, they just expaaaand the Noel Vacations.

Samedi 21 Octobre

Good evening everybody,

Today no pictures to post, although I should have taken my camera with me, as I went with other Erasmus Students on a Boat Trip (Bateau Mouche) through the River Seine. I had already been on this trip when I was 14 in the School Trip before High Schools, but obviously that was nearly 10 years ago, (Oh My God Im getting old...) and obviously I didnt appreciate it as much as I did today. Im not gonna start commenting what did we see, better: I invite u guys to come to Paris and we can do the trip "ensemble".
My University here is really REALLY demanding, not only because everything is in French, but because, they dont follow a specific book, the 3 hour Lecture classes, are just copy whats dictated, no questions allowed, and on the TD (Travaux Dirigees), u gotta do a lot of research and presentations. Last week I did my first presentation for Research Management, that went well, but next week Ive gotta do one, and havent yet even started, and on the following weeks Ive got even more lengthy presentations, so I doubt that Ill be able to update my diary more often.
Yesterday I went to a party at the appartment of an Italian and a Spanish guys (Paolo and Carlos), that was fun, and at the end we ended up being around 50 students from very different nationalities (including, Chinese, Korean and Russian) in not more than 25m2, needless to say that the neighbours came to demand some silence...
Oh I had promised to tell the story about the flying jeans...
Ok, on one thursday night, after coming back from the already famous "Thursdays at Mix Club" (free entrance with your Erasmus ID), I put most of my clothes in the window due to the disgusting tobacco smell. I always do that whenever I come back from parties, and normally the next day the clothes have a decent smell. Well this time was somehow different... next morning I went to pick up my jeans, I opened the window, look straight into the place where I hang out the clothes... saw nothing, stared again and still saw no pants. At this moment I started to believe that maybe the night before I had come home far more wasted than I thought. Then maybe I didnt hang out my pants... Or maybe I did, but without putting the pegs...
Oh Shit (I thought), the clothe pegs are here, therefore my jeans are... Yes you are right, they have fallen to the yard of the neighbour from the 1st floor... I could see my pants from my 6th floor.
However I had no clue who and where my neighbour was... So I decided to write 2 letters, in my lousy french, writing my name what had happened, my telephone number etc and delivered them to both of the houses where I thought they had access to the yard.
Got no answer friday, however my pants remained there in the yard. Got no answer Saturday however my pants, still remained on the yard (I could still see them from my window), and that day it rained a lot. Sunday morning, when my hopes where starting to vanish, I heard my door ring, and there it was, an old women, in her mid 60's, with a plastic bag, with my pants completely wet, she had come to my place (6 floors with no elevator) just to bring me the jeans, "Im sorry but I think the belt broke" she said. I didnt even care, I was so delighted to see my trousers again, and even more, to see that there still remains good people in this world, and in addition I also felt sorry that she had had to come those 6 floors, but I had nothing to offer her, I told her if she wanted some wine, and she said no, so the only thing I thought I could do, was to kiss her hand and say MERCI BEAUCOUP! I asked her for her name Annabella (not sure I spelt it right), and her floor which was the 1st floor on the same building as mine.
Next day I went to a Nice shop in Boulevard Saint-Michel and bought her 2 nice candles, wrapped up, and a letter saying Thankyou, I left it just beside her front door.
2 days later, I met her on my way to class, and she said that the gift had been: "C'est tres Gentil", I think that really she is the kind person.
Hope u liked the story, gotta go to have some dinner!
Bisous!

The pic is from a Party Chez Aloma, where everybody had to cook something from their country, and as Im not the best cooks of Spain, I made: "Agua de Valencia" everybody liked it and we where all pretty much "cieguetes" after the second glass, hihi! Oh btw Im with Ana and Aloma both from Barcelona in the picture,

Still no Internet @ Home!

Im really sorry not to be able to upload my blog more oftenly, but check out the vicious circle Im undergoing: Without the Electricity or the Telephone Bill I cant have my Debid Card nor my Bank Check, and without the Bank Check, I cant purchase the Internet or my Telephone, thus I cant have the Telephone Bill... As a conclusion: Still no Internet, until my Electricity Bill comes, therefore I wont be able to update my blog that often as I have to continuesly come to this shitty Cyber Cafe nearby my appartment. Anyway I have 2 pictures to publish, these where taken last thursday at the "Welcome International Banquet"
See if you can find me on the 1st one...

Here I am with other Erasmus Students from different Nationalities, but I can only remember the names of Elias from Germany, Stefan from Austria, Fritzi from Germany aswell, Jan from Poland/Germany, and 3 spanish, 2 are from Madrid and the other is Ana from Barcelona.
